Brothers and sisters, why are you out here tearing at your fellow brothers and sisters in Christ? This is embarrassing to the body that people can see us pulling each other down so publicly. I am saddened by videos like these. I was reborn amidst lights and music. Imagine channels like this got their way and those things were somehow banned. Who are we to say what God can and cannot use? You mock your brothers and sisters here so openly. What does God say about that in the word?

These men never “come out on their own” they are always found out and only then they “repent”!!! It’s worldly sorrow!!! It’s also a theme in the NAR, WOF movement Not saying it never happens in good churches but it’s definitely a pattern in the false gospel teaching churches.

Our ex pastor committed adultery on his wife while we were there. It was found out and the church destroyed the woman and lifted up the pastor! He never left the pulpit and is still there today! We left and were abused for leaving!!! It still to this day saddens me as he is still the CEO … I mean pastor of the church

I don't agree with everything Todd says, but I have learned some useful things, and now and then, I get a good wholesome chuckle from his style. Lately however, he seems to proclaim grace, but then goes on to pitch legalism about secondary issues. It sometimes seems like he's trying to produce click bait for his base. Here's a newsflash: Jesus and the disciples didn't wear Armani. As long as what a pastor preaches in is modest and clean, I don't care how hip he's trying to be.

I agree. Preaching the Word through the Spirit is what moves the heart to repentance and salvation. Singing in the Bible is mostly only after that true conversion and is a joyous response to the Truth. That said, there may be a few song's lyrics do put music to the Word of God or Biblical Sermon and they do preach, but unfortunately many do not. In fact if you sing many "worship" songs 'out of context' they could be love songs to another person, another god or demons. Some of songs are 'ok' so long as the worship set includes the spoken Word of God ( preaching) to contexualize each song so it's a response within godly context. Hence agreeing with your point to do more "preaching" of Truth and less music in any "revival." Most musicians, unfortunately are not expert theologians and sometimes have poor apologetics. Even if they are true Christians they may have read something in the word and responded with the song.. but we need those very verses in context to bring everyone into understanding of what the song is responding too so we can join in. Unfortunately there are many contemporary songs and even old hymns that are so theologically incorrect and they should be avoided.

Isn't it already part of the SBC bylaws that women can't be pastors? Think about it... why else was Saddleback disfellowshipped. If it wasn't on the books, then they couldn't have been disfellowshipped. I think it's pretty disingenuous that churches have women as directors and men as pastors when both are clearly just leaders doing the same thing... it's just a labeling thing is it not?

Should we consider the difference between an isolated sin and an on going pattern of sin. (The Greek NT use of aorist vs present tense verbs is a discussion worth having.) It would appear that Peter slipped into the first heresy of the church, the Galatian heresy, (Gal 2:11-14). This is a nice clip and I appreciate what Todd Friel is trying to do although he continues to say you must repent for salvation. Repentance isn’t the requirement for salvation. It’s believing in the Lord of Jesus Christ. Repentance is a requirement for salvation. Then again it falls back on how good we are not on how good Jesus is. Salvation alone in Christ alone.

You don't need smoke, lights and a band. I have no objections to simple instruments like guitar or piano to accompany the worship. But all you really need are the saints worshipping the Lord and good biblical teaching. I like when I visit my inlaws because their church is structured like that. I need to find a church near me that has that.

No Scripture says, "A pastor who sins is disqualified FOR LIFE." Various churches are going to land in different places on this. Let's not make up a rule that is not in Scripture. Of course some sins are so grievous that the fallen pastor must never be restored.

What he describes is what was lost when we moved from congregational singing of hymns to the so-called "Praise singing." It took a commitment to pull out the hymnal, look up the hymn by number, and raise your voice and sing. Now, there's no effort. The words are projected on a big screen and the lyrics are mostly vapid and repetitive. Next time you're in a church that does that,, look around during the singing. Out of congregation of 300 people, maybe 5-10 are singing along. Some few may be standing with their eyes closed and hands lifted. Most will just be sitting or standing, watching the musicians jam out. What passes for congregational singing these days is just a rock concert. True congregational singing got the individuals involved in worship. The act of actually singing the words, paying attention to the melody or singing harmony, together, as a group, brought the worshipers closer together and in sync. Actually singing the words brought the words and their meaning into the hearts and minds of the singers and made their hearts ready to receive the message of the sermon. "Praise singing" is either just whipping people into a false frenzy or killing time while satisfying the musicians alone.

These guys just move on to a new church and REPEAT. Sickening! 🤮

"for the last 40 years." I won't take that argument. There have been several "big church" pastor names which have fallen in 2024. Will that facilitate or mitigate the 2 Thess 2 "falling away" ... not just out of office Pastors, Deacons, & Elders .. but of the lay person? Is The Church "federalizing" like our (world) govt? (consolidating) .... or is it "returning to its beginning" of small gatherings? ... but a BUNCH of small gatherings.

Gods got a great plan for your life and he loves you. Where does it say that in the bible. And by the way this is not the Gospel. I read this in a church advertisement. The Question we need to ask is this: It sounds good BUT is it God? And I Just wish that Churches in their advertisement would not offer people their church or a leaflet advertising their church BUT that they would actually offer them CHRIST. Its Not about your church - its about Christ. When God gives someone a brand new heart they will want to go to church and fellowship with Gods people.

Do other religions not answer these 5 questions? I feel like these questions are basically the foundation for all religions.
